Kings School Ottery St Mary?

We are moving to the area shortly for a new job in Exeter and we are looking at a house in Ottery st Mary. My DD is year 5 and I want her to be able to apply for secondary in October. Our first choice would be Kings School of course, however DCC have said that none of the feeder schools have any spaces in her year group.

Does anyone know if there are spaces for children who don’t go to the feeder schools if they live in the catchment area? Priority seems to go to the kids at the feeder schools, then siblings. So are there still place’s available for those moving into the area?

Know of someone who was as at a non feeder primary but lived in Ottery who was given a place 12 months ago. You will be lower down the list than feeder school children, so there is a risk you won't get a place. But I think a good chunk of kings feeder primary's also attend colyton so that means some extra spots pop up

Breakdowns here

Show they didn't get to that category- 6- in 2024 on offer day, but did in 2022. Last year was a large birth year and rates start to fall now, but it's still uncertain I would say.
