Camden School for Girls and St.Marylebone waiting list

Hello .... Unfortunately we didn't get a place for CSG or St .Marylebone, we got the 3rd choice...now, I don't know what to do ..should I refuse the place? On another group there are some mums that say if I refuse, they have to give me a place at one of these schools.... but if I accept the place offered I have no chance on the waiting list.
Now, I'm asking you....do I have any chance of getting a place, being on the waiting list? We are at a distance of about 2 miles from both unfortunately

They are talking rubbish! You need to accept the place you've been offered. You'll be on the waiting list for your first and second choices - if you call the council where the school is they will tell you what number you are on the waiting list

If you refuse the place, the LA have no obligation to find another one. You would be reliant on the waiting lists for a place. Accept'a this has no impact at all on your place on waiting lists for other schools.

Thank you...I have accepted the place offered,and we are on the waiting list for St Marylebone and CSG....anyone got place...by September? I'm wondering if there is a chance, or not...

There’s a few waiting lists for each school. Do you know which waiting list you’re on and what number?

For CSG you might be for eg

Band B number 18

Aptitude 5

Performance 6

Yes, I know the band and position...27 and 31 😟...unfortunately....

I’m not sure about StMar but for CSG 27 or 31 may get you a place in certain bands in certain years before term.

If that were true everyone would do that and everyone would always get their preferred school and the pupils in popular schools would be like sardines.

Unfortunately not, we are still on waiting list, 18 for CSG...so I guess no chances...
