Dd has gained a place at WoK but Hillview had been our first choice. Does anyone have experience of both schools? We’ve had a few visits to Hillview but didn’t feel WoK as welcoming (or open) with only one open day visit.

I’m wondering what the situation is like now the new head is in post?

Also, is there a bullying problem or have incidents been handled well?

What is there SEN provision like, my daughter’s tutor didn’t rate it.

Would love to hear others experiences.

Have you seen all of the stories on local fb groups about the “furries” ruling the roost at Hillview? Not an issue at Weald AFAIK

Bumping also been offered a place at WoK and would be interested to hear if the new head is making a difference.

I have a friend with 2 dds at WofK she is very happy with how the school is running under the new head.

My Hillview info is a few years out of date so likely less relevant but both parents happy with the school.

In the school context, pupils claiming to be e.g. cats...?

Dd at wok Sevenoaks. So far so good. Better than we expected. I think there is bullying everywhere. There are plenty of school clubs from chess to trampolining, which I really like. Really didn't like hill view during open day. Felt like all the girls had the same coat and bags and if you didn't, you wouldn't fit in.

There are several girls “identifying” as cats and foxes at Hillview. I thought it was made up but friends have kids at Hillview who are terrified of these girls running around howling and shrieking whilst wearing ears and tails.

How very odd and sounds very disruptive.

DD (Yr5) is keen to go to Hillview but I've learned they allow phones at break and lunchtimes which I think is terrible. Weald are strict on them and they must be in lockers all day.
