Hello All,
Which one would you choose please?

How far are you from both schools?

Can I also please ask what your child score in Slough Grammar school test?

Latymer Upper is the clear choice, except if the travel time is much more.

I have never heard of Upton Grammar but Latymer Upper has rave reviews

NeoMatrix · 02/03/2024 20:57

There is a big difference between Upton Court GS and Latymer Upper, in terms of quality of education, academic performance, facilities, reputation and if you have a bursary from Latymer Upper, then it should be an obvious choice.

In waiting list for HBS now..

Pretty sure she will get that.

So HBS vs Latymer upper at 90% bursary please.

@Hbs2ndstage , I know you have a 90% bursary at LU but you need to really check the small print and make sure that if you decline the place after the first day of the summer term (mid April) that it won't revert to you owing more than 10% of the autumn term fees. For full fees paying parents generally if they decline a place after the last day of the Easter Holidays then they pay the autumn term fees in full. This is because you have to give 1 terms notice to leave a private school, it's standard practice and is implemented sector wide, (otherwise it's impossible for schools to plan and commit to teaching budgets).
