My kids (Year 7 and Year 10) received offers on this school.

Any sharing on the boarding life of the school , quality of teachers, academic level,extracurricular ?

Hello, just saw the post , did you accept the offer? I thought it would be 1st March to receive an offer. Glad to know that they will send the offer earlier.

Given tbe date of the post, I think that the OP was probably talking about in-year admissions for the then-current year 7 and year 10, rather than one of them being an offer for the 2024 new year 7 intake?

Yes, I agree that OP is for year 2024. I see the school website says “ offer will be sent on 1st March”. So I think the letter could be sent earlier than 1st March for 2025

will school still send a letter to confirm there is no place offered?

So 1st March. Or 3rd March this year, as the first is a Saturday (the Admissions Code stipulates 1st March, or the first working day thereafter).

As MarchingFrogs said, the OP would have been applying direct to the school for in year places, not through the local authority CAF for places to start at the beginning of year seven.

If you are applying to start year seven in September, you will receive an email on march 3 from the local authority. (if you applied on paper for some reason you will have to wait for the letter to arrive which may be after March 3).

Not earlier, and this email will come from the local authority not the school. The school will then contact you.

It will not be earlier because the school is a state school and must follow the set dates and deadlines for regular year 7 admission.

You will get an email or letter from the local authority on March 3 telling you which school you have been allocated.

It's very unlikely there will be a specific letter or communication from the school unless you get a place.
