Grants to top up a private school bursary

My daughter has been awarded a bursary for a private school, but it only covers 50% of the fees, leaving £3.5k per term to find. As a single mother working on minimum wages its not something I can cover. Can anyone recommend a grant that might help? I can only find them for children of armed forces, doctors, or those already at the school. Many thanks!

Private schools are a luxury, something that lots of people would like if they could afford it, but most people can't. Just like a bigger house in a nicer area or a fancier car, life would be nicer with them, but people accept they don't have the money to pay for them and live within their means.
I don't understand the thinking behind applying for a school you have no hope of paying for, and then expecting somebody else to pay for it, just because you would like that for your child. You wouldn't do that with anything else.

Thanks for your contribution mate

Could you work at the school? Staff often get a 50% discount

I hardly think they'll employ anyone who asks, just so their child can have a reduction in fees?

Worth enquiring if there are any vacancies

Hi OP, would you consider applying for a school like Christ's Hospital? They have something like 80% of their students on scholarships and a fantastic school.
