Guildford High School commute from Ashford or Staines(Surrey)

My DD got an offer from Guildford Hight School. We live in Ashford (tw153et).

Are there any DDs who are travelling from
this area to GHS?

There could be some but it's not really an area the girls will tend to come from.

@AMR19 , are you waiting for offers nearer to home by 9th Feb? If so do you have to accept GHS before then?

Hi @tennissquare - yes I am waiting. For GHS I am yet to get the offer by post which I assume should have the details by what date I need to accept.

Crikey that looks to be a very long journey to school (especially if your child will be using public transport)!

@AMR19 , I would hang on in there for LEH / SWPS etc.

Agreed. Don't forget DD's future school friends may be coming from way out in the other direction so play dates/ hanging out in eg Guildford will be a real challenge. It's not just the school commute. Also the A3/M25 fiasco is going to make getting there a nightmare for another year and public transport isn't really an option for that route There are just as good schools closer to TW15. SWPS springs to mind 😊 which is easy to get to from Ashford.

Does your DD accepted place at GHS?

We live in Ashford and my two take the train to Weybridge sometimes. That's long enough. Does Guildford involve a change?
