Hi, I’d really appreciate some experience please with non-selective schools in the Beaconsfield catchment area. My son is a bright, happy boy but mixes predominantly with girls, so whether he passes his 11+ or not, I’m not considering any of the single sex schools in the area and I feel at a bit of a loss as to where to send him. I hear that it’s best to select 4 potential schools in case of non-selection but I’m struggling to feel good about even one at the moment and I’m seriously considering moving out of the area for this reason. Does anyone have experience of The Beaconsfield School (not Becky High). I’ve heard that it’s ok academically but has a problem with bullying 😖… My son is talented, an excellent communicator and bright although I’m not massively concerned about him being academically stretched, I just want him to feel safe and happy going to school. I’d appreciate any supportive and thoughtful experience. Thank you!

Hi, all of mine are at The Beaconsfield School and I don’t hear any reports from them of bullying.
The younger years tend to get a lot of homework.
Many kids round the area either go to TBS, Chalfont, Bourne End Academy or further into Maidenhead.
