Hi,
Our DD has given stage 1 & 2 exams for LEH Year 6 occasional vacancy admission exams and now waiting for the results. Any idea how many places roughly become available for year 6 occasional vacancy on average. Also any idea when do they let know the results for occasional vacancies usually (for 7+ and 11+, it seems to be between end of Jan - early feb but not sure for occasional vacancies) ?

Thank you in advance for your time..

When did your DD sit the exams? It’s looking like this weekend for 7+ results. Very often no occasional places so likely only one or two from people moving (or I guess deciding on another school for seniors and moving earlier). I would just ask - they are very helpful!

thanks @Sb123455 .. We got a message today confirming she has been placed in waiting list. But as you mentioned, they have mentioned no occasional vacancies available as of now for Year 6 yet.🤞🏼🤞🏼

@sholaroi , yes it's worth noting the date of the last day of the Easter holidays as that is the final date for parents to give notice to the school if their dd isn't returning for year 6 in Sept 24. The WL may move after this date.

thanks @tennissquare .. Any idea of historical movements of places in Year 6 or other years , if you know about it ..

Last academic year (Sept 23) there were two places in Year 4 due to overseas moves, and one place in Year 5 but I’m not sure of the reason. My DD says no-one new in Year 6 that she knows of x

@sholaroi Yes I am familiar with admissions in prep schools. It's dependent on 2 things - international relocation of a parent to another county by their employer or parents unable to continue to pay the fees. Both situations are impossible to predict, sorry to not be of more help.
In general the prep schools around Hampton are not full so would have space but of course your dd would have to re-apply to LEH seniors at the start of year 6.
It might be worth asking admissions if they think she would meet the criteria for an offer for year 7 if you sent her to a prep school like Clarence House, Twickenham Prep or Newland House for a year. She would then move with her prep school cohort to LEH seniors as they all feed there (along with loads of other preps).

Hi, my daughter is preparing for the reasoning tests. Can you let me know the format and what the tests entail? Is it similar to 11+ English and Maths? Thank you. x
