Hi - We are looking at Grammar schools for my son's secondary school Sept 25. Would be very interested in hearing other parents' reviews of this school please... is it deemed an academic hothouse, what is pastoral care like, Sporting facilities and fixtures against other schools, extra-curricular clubs..any feedback really appreciated. thanks

My son is very happy there . He is academic and doing well . There is lots going on outside school hours for children to join in with . The big sports the school concentrates on are Hockey and Rowing . Also a big emphasis on drama dance and music .

Good results are very important to the school , but those struggling are supported with extra help .

Would I make the same choice to send my son there - most definitely . It suits my son though I can see that it might not suit other less able kids .

My Child has just finished Sir William Borlaise in Marlow, thank God. The final A levels year has been extremely difficult due to intense bullying in and out of School. A particularly nasty group of students that seem to get away with their actions. If my Child didn't have the strength and drive that she does, this School would have ruined her life. The School response to her cries for help was to shut her in a "safe room" most days. It appears that it's fine to be a bully if your parents are involved in fundraising and PTA activities.
Please think long and hard before subjecting your Child to this.
