Sixth Form - Alleyn’s or Charter?

My DD has decided to move from her current school (which is single sex) to a co-ed one for sixth form next September. We are currently deciding between Alleyn’s and Charter North in Dulwich. We live in the area and should be able to get in at Charter.

Of course, there will be some financial constraints if she does go to Alleyn’s but she can hopefully get a scholarship (she is expecting 9s and 8s for GCSE). She really really wants to attend a Russel Group and has been told that she has potential, but both schools seem to have good UCAS application coaching plans.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Visit both for open evenings, talk to your daughter about preferences, do your household budget to see what is feasible, put your applications in, see what you are offered, then make a decision.

It's the next school term, which school did you go for sixth form? I'm interested to find out, especially with the new pressure of VAT on school fees for private schools.
