New Head at St Helen’s Northwood

Does anyone know what happened to Alice Lucas at St Helen’s? They seem to have an interim headmistress now. Asking as I went to an open day at the school for my daughter and was impressed by her

I am curious too. We spoke to her a year back and she was impressive. She mentioned a number of recent changes made to lift the school's academic standards. Judging by this year's result, probably they were good and impactful changes.

DD doesn't go there, so no idea why the sudden change. Maybe also try the 11+ forum?

They had a safeguarding fail from a no notice inspection - not to do with child safety directly but training of governors was out of date and procedures not in line with KCSIE. It’s all in the public domain on the ISI site. Not sure if she jumped or was pushed or indeed whether there was another reason.

@failuree my dd has just finished there and Mrs Lucas went on sick leave last term
