Last minute change of plan for 6th form

My daughter got much better GCSE results than we were expecting and now wants to apply for 6th form in a selective school ( we're in Kent) that she hadn't considered before, believing it to be out of reach. Does anyone know if it's possible to apply at this late stage? I've tried phoning the school, but there's just an voicemail saying it's the holidays and to email. I've also emailed the Kent Choices people (it's the central application portal), but no one had answered. Monday is a bank holiday, so I'm feeling like time is running out...

Is there not info in the 6th form admissions policies for the schools? This must be on their web sites I believe. It should be clear about applications. They might also have a direct email for admissions.

@MimiGC I think there could be an issue if they were over subscribed. Other dc might have been turned town and a late application is not equal consideration. However if they have space, it’s no issue. I would email to see if they have space. A week after A level results is a bit late for a change of heart. I guess they had staff in last week.

I have looked at the school website. Usual deadline for applicants was March and offers made based on predicted grades. There are likely to be some who were made offers, but didn't get the required grades ie there could be places available for those who didn't originally apply. It's just not clear to me what happens for those who exceeded expectations / predictions and who now want to change course...I suppose I was hoping to be able to talk to someone. I appreciate it is late for a change of plan, but we can't be the only ones in this situation.

Hi
normally with sixth forms they offer more places than then actually have available on the basis that some students miss the grade. However worth an email as lots of lower grades this year so they might have space.
