Can anyone help? I’ve been trying to find an actual waterproof (not water resistant) back pack with laptop compartment for my DS, that is also trendy. He had picked out a north face one which is £££ but isn’t waterproof. Please help. A good quality premium looking one for less than £80 if possible. He’s in 6th form but I would want it decent enough to go into uni. Thank you

I got my son the north face Jester backpack I’m not sure how waterproof it is though only that it is to an extent

Try Rains. They have a few styles and I believe they’re all waterproof. They’re mostly £80-90 but lots of shops stock them so you may be able to get one on sale, and ASOS stocks some of the range and often does 20% off everything.

I like the rains ones, he doesn’t though. :(

Waterproof covers for backpacks (and panniers) are easy to find.

@Zoommeout @ittakes2 I don't know if this helps but both my sons have laptop bags for college and uni. They like the padded backs so books don't dig in and Ds1 at uni carries a laptop to and from lectures.

They both use a waterproof cover that straps over the bag, they have been using this sort of thing for years. This is the one they have, the two straps make sure that it doesn't pop off the top which can happen with the ones that are like a giant shower cap.

This means they can have whatever bag they want and this takes no time at all to clip on.
