Best secondary schools in bracknell and ascot

Hello

I'm moving next year to the bracknell/Ascot area looking for recommendations for secondarys school my daughter is dyslexic so a school when a great sen would be good
I've been looking at ranelagh, carter's and Kings hard to know though as not from the area and don't know much about them any personal recommendations would be great thank you 😊

They are three very over-subscribed schools - Ranelagh and Charters especially. Are you looking for an in-year place? Or looking to move to be in catchment for a Sept 2024 start?

Hello looking for move in catchment for 2024 it's so hard to know which would be best as I will move to get into a good distance from the school so she would hopefully stand a good chance to get it would also consider Wokingham any recommendations for me please? X

To be honest, I don’t think you can really go wrong with those schools.

Ranelagh you need to meet the church criteria too. It’s generally around 4 years of regular attendance to guarantee a place - C of E from memory. Check carefully whether you’d meet the requirement and then how to manage it if you move.

The Holt in Wokingham (all girls) has an excellent reputation. Bohunt in Arborfield is also worth considering.

To be honest, I’d go for whatever house you can complete and exchange on before the deadline in any of those catchments. 31st October isn’t far away and you’d need to check rules on moving after that with the three UAs - Bracknell, Wokingham and the Royal Borough. Ascot/Sunningdale is nicer than Bracknell but has a price tag to match. Wokingham/Arborfield are nice but check catchments carefully using distances on Wokingham website.
