How many days after your school appeal till you received your outcome letter?
I was so nervous I thought they said it will be posted after 5 school days but I have googled and it says within 5 school days?
Any experiences? did you wait 5 days?
its actually going to be 12 school days for me because the second day of appeals was the following week and my wait includes 2 weekends 😟

Here they say they "aim" to let people know within 5 days, to give some breathing space.

I was presenting officer for 13 schools this year. The clerk emailed the decision letters to me on the 4th working day after decisions were made, so I expect they were posted out to appellants the same day and may or may not have arrived on day 5, depending on the postal service.

Weekends don't count as school days. If you are including the two weekends in your 12 days figure, it is actually only 8 school days.

The Appeals Code says they should be sent within five school days of the hearing wherever possible. Of course, if there are multiple hearing days, no decisions are made until all cases have been heard. And note that it says "sent", not "received".

In my experience, most admission authorities stick to this, but it does sometimes take longer.

This time of year is super busy with appeals so realistically the full letter with the reasons for decision may take a little longer.

What my LA do is send a super short letter just with the decision pretty much the day after decisions are made and then follow up with a longer letter some days later. But as said, decisions aren't made until all appeals for a school are heard.

I actually found out from the school (in year transfer). They rang and said need to discuss start dates, I got the official letter a week later (probably 10 school days after appeal date).

My hearing was 22nd May, was given provisional date of 8th June, but got an email from the school giving me induction information on the 6th. I waited until 8th for official email and didn't get one, had to ask the clerk twice and I got it this Monday (apparently my email address kept saying undeliverable) fingers crossed you hear soon!

For anyone looking in the future it took 4 days after the last appeal until I received my letter.
