Hi mums,

Still looking for a good secondary school for my highly anxious, would be school refusing if she wasn't so compliant, DD. Assessed for autism, told she isn't, but struggles with flexibility / change, sensory processing, social events (e.g. birthday parties etc), and going anywhere other than home!

Preferably a secondary school in South Staffordshire, North Warwickshire, or West Leicestershire area, but will look further afield if necessary.

Looking for:

  • Outstanding pastoral support
  • Good with SEND / happy to make reasonable adjustments
  • Not selective
  • Small
  • Prefer single sex, but that's not a deal breaker

Would be great if:

  • Strong arts department, and preferably offering textiles and DT as well
  • Good outdoor space that they make use of as part of learning
  • Forest school, farm or growing their own produce would be amazing!
  • Not overly religious

Really appreciate any suggestions you might have!

Have you considered Abbotshome? Ticks quite a few of your boxes.
