Kingsdale waiting lists - should we give up?

I know there's a few old threads on Kingsdale waiting lists but just wondering if anyone had up to date insight on movement.

DD started at 80 something on band 1 waiting list - and is now 50 something so has moved around 25 places.

Is that it now for big movements on the waiting list? I'm guessing that as places have been confirmed/rejected that there won't be much more movement now.

Have you found that waiting lists move again before the summer?

And in your experience, is there enough movement to think waiting list place of 50+ might get offered before September?

Since offer day, DD has been offered a waiting list place elsewhere and I'm broadly happy, and will accept the offer, but wondering whether to still hold out for a kingsdale place.

The waitlist continues to move all the way into autumn term!

There is no downside to staying on the wait list - it potentially gives you options but it’s hard to see the list moving another 50 places in your band alone now that the first reallocation round has already been done.

My DC was mid-40s in band 1 a couple of years ago and was offered a place mid-June. It keeps moving but I don’t know whether it would move quite that far. Once term starts, I think some who are offered reject it because they’ve already started a new school. They are very good at updating you if you ask.
