So relieved to see the Mayor of London is funding emergency free school meals for all primary school aged kids in London for a year, saving families around £440 per child. Much needed following gvmnts failure to act at this incredibly difficult time.

It doesn’t help those with secondary aged children though

There will be thousands who don’t need them. I hope there’s a way of opting out so that the money can be targeted in other ways to those who need it.

This reads like a press office post

But you’re better off putting it in primary education

They had better improve the food and give children more than 20 minutes to actually eat it then.
