Are there any Guildford High School girls travelling from Surbiton?

My DD has an offer from GHS. I wanted to know if there are any girls starting this September who would be travelling from Surbiton ? Thanks.

Even if you live close to the station, spending 1.5 hours both ways every day seems wasting too much time on travel.

I did this journey when I was at GHS and I certainly wasn't the only one...!

We are deciding between GHS and SHS - and live in Surbiton.
So if go with GHS will be taking the train.
I know of two other kids who have accepted offers for GHS and will be going from Surb station if that helps.

@DrogonFly we are also deciding between Surbiton High and Guildford High and live in Surbiton! Also wondering how many girls might be travelling on the train from Surbiton?

Yes, that would be great… we are almost there …. Just have to get my head around the travel…. If we decide to go with GHS it would be good to get the girls together…

Hi all, adding to this message a year later, for any girls who did go to GHS from surbiton , would you be able to offer views on how it has been managing afterschool, before school and homework activities together with the journey times. Has would you still recommend it on reflection? Has it been difficult?

SHS is great! If you live in Surbiton and have been offered a place at SHS surely it’s a no-brainer - what are you hoping GHS will give you that Surbiton won’t?

would love to know the feedback of current kids who travel from Surbiton to GHS. My DD has been offered a place and we are looking to move to Surbiton soonish... ta

My daughter started in September in year 7 and she takes train from surbiton. There are four of them in her year who start at surb, and then most of her class seem to get on at all the next stations on route. It is a bit of an early start but def doable!
