Hello, my niece has got an offer from all 4 schools and is currently contemplating which one to pick. She has an academic scholarship from NWC but she it isn't her first choice school. Me and her mum are not really keen on HABS but my niece said that she liked the atmosphere but we have mixed opinions about the girls there.
If anyone has any advice or general comments about any of the schools please do share :)

Also really interested to hear some feedback about these schools. Which one are you leaning towards? We are currently prepping for 11+ for the same schools esp NLCS and Habs in particular.

We had an absolute horrific experience at NWC a few years ago (I think the teacher responsible is still their initials JF) we had to remove our daughter it was traumatic for her.
Every day I would take my dd in and sign her in yet this teacher kept saying we ‘refused to engage’ and that I wasn’t dropping dd off on time ??
My dd has multiple medical issues and she was bullied relentlessly by this teacher who would tell her she ‘couldn’t possibly be that I’ll’ because she sometimes saw her smile 😞she refused us extra time and breaks in exams as said we might cheat ?! She told us multiple times she didn’t believe us about health issues, we provided copies of letters and she then called social services accusing us of making it up .
my dd was banned from the medical centre and we were told ‘this is a SCHOOL not a hospital’ at a meeting with other professionals who were appalled.

We had a bursary and we were also told at one point that it would be taken and given 72 hours to get new up to date consultant reports to prove medical issues (again)

It was only this one member of staff that was the issue and usually I would not judge an establishment on the actions of one BUT this is the pastoral care lead so it needs to be highlighted

PM if you need any more info x

@NotThatoneagain Thank you for letting us know about NWC, I think she has now eliminated that choice even though the scholarship was a nice thing to have. Does anyone know about the academics of any of the schools?

Can I suggest you read the thread Habs vs NLCS that is currently going on as well? Quite a few of us put our comments on there so I thought it might be useful. Any questions re NLCS feel free to ask.

There's so much negative comments about Habs Girls here, NLCS is treated so much nicer

Herewegoagain78 · 18/02/2023 20:42

It’s never about the girls, any negative comments are about the school if anything (though I don’t have any negative comments towards Habs, I couldn’t as my kids don’t go there). This is the challenge with the question you are asking OP, not many people will be able to comment on both schools from experience.
