Currently waiting to hear if we got our first choice for secondary school , hoping we might have a chance of getting into Bullers , we are 1.38 m .

Last year I think furthest distance at first allocation was 1.266 miles for the girls; in 2021 it was 1.26, 2020 1.576.

I would be interested to hear any updates on the catchment for Bullers Girls. We are looking at secondary schools for next year and have fallen just outside the published catchment for the last 2 years.

Hi, we are currentky on waiting list for BWSG. Does anyone know how far down the waiting list the school has gone in previous yrs? Just trying to sense if we have a realistic chance of being offered a place on 2nd rounds. Thanks

Hi there , I am also on the waiting list ! Bullers boys second rounds went out today , did you ring to find out how high you are on the waiting list ?

Thanks for replying. Yes I did, I called bromley admissions and they told me our place. They said to call back again in 2 weeks...so stressful.

Appletonsa · 04/04/2023 19:42

How close are you if you don’t mind me asking ? Trying to get an idea as to how far it’s reached so far .

This implies second rounds have gone out , they then have 10 working days to respond and then next group will be offered .

In terms of distance we missed out by 0.014 (approx 24 metres). They went out to 1.252 this year. So a smaller catchment than previous yrs. We have always been within catchmnet...but just.

Appletonsa · 04/04/2023 21:24

Sounds like you might have a high chance if you are that close ! we are 1.39 so much further out than you .

They are both such small distances arent they? Wishing you guys good luck too and that the waiting doesnt go on too long.

Sunnysunbun · 04/04/2023 21:43

A few years ago my dd got through on the second round. Just hold on and I’m sure you’ll get good news.

Appletonsa · 04/04/2023 22:45

Thanks , we’ve sort of settled for what we have been offered . It’s funny how the children adapt so well and don’t like the idea of moving again !
good luck and hope all comes together in the end !

Hello, can anyone from this feed give any feed back on their experiences with Bullers wood?

mugboat · 17/06/2024 23:23

Just wanted to post an update on this thread for anyone like me who was dying to find out how fast the waiting list moved.

My daughter will be a Sept 24 intake. We live 1.65 miles as the crow flies.

I don't know where the first offers went out to as I don't think this has been published yet.

We called the school in May and my daughter was number 16, 2 weeks later (mid-May) and she was number 17 (!). 1 month later (10th June) she was number 5! Today (17th June) we got an email offering a place.

The waiting list moves fast. I was trying to find something tangible on the movement of it for this school but couldn't find anything. Hopefully this info will be useful for any other anxious parents.
