Headington Girls Oxford- 2023 year 7 Entrance results

Hi everyone. An anxiously impatient mum here 😀😀. I’s anyone familiar with the Headington School timelines for entrance exam notifications? My DD wrote the year 7 Entrance exam on Nov 26, with the aim of getting into year 7 in 2023. Has anyone been through a similar process? Does it take a month or more to be informed if she’s passed and offered a place? I know I’m probably being impatient - but there’s a few movements on the family front and need to lock down schools sooner rather than later. Thanks all.

We are still waiting too. They said before Christmas, so hopefully by next week we should know? We know a girl that applied for an academic scholarship and they were notified already, as tomorrow is the academic scholarship assessment (she wasn't shortlisted). Is this your first choice and what other schools have you applied to? Good luck to your daughter!

I’ve just checked my emails and last year it was 16th December. But I think it may have been delayed by girls with covid who had to sit the entrance exams late. Good luck!

@lovecafeaulait oh… exciting for the girl with the academic scholarship Tot there wasn’t a separate application for that. Headington is our ( well actually- my daughter’s 😀) first choice. We are also considering St Helen’s, Pipers Corner &. our Lady’s of Abingdon. She just received an offer from Our Lady’s today. She’s happy to have got it… but not over the moon… bless her 😀😀.

I am not sure if there is a separate application for academic scholarships, but the assessment is today from what the website says. What did you think about the Pipers Corner school? Looks interesting, but a bit too far for us.

pipers seems ok. I’m on the look out for anyone who goes there. The girls very very relaxed and seemed quite happy.
