State secondary schools near Cowden Kent

im thinking of moving to Cowden in Kent but struggling with state secondary school choices for my child.
where do children go to secondary school if they live in Cowden and more importantly how do they get there? There doesn’t seem to be any public transportation to east grinstead and im looking at Oxted as the only choice as i can see she could get a train there but the walk to Cowden station is quite remote and dark in the winter?
any help would be greatly appreciate

My friend’s daughter lives in Cowden and she goes to Weald of Kent grammar. I think she gets a lift to Hever station and then gets the train (direct) to Tonbridge. Would that be an option at all? Would you consider Tonbridge schools?

Please be aware that KCC are threatening to cut lots of bus routes so look as this carefully as a route that’s operating now may not run in the future.
