Hi All,
would appreciate comments and recommendations on the few private secondary schools in Guilford area - other than RGS Guilford please?
I'm checking for my DS who is bright but not a very academic, not too sporty. Preferably the transport can be either drive/bus/train to be less than 40mins.
Thanks in advance for your kind sharing!

Thank you for your list, much appreciated. I will look into them. we are nearer to Shalford and Godalming side.

Churchers College would probably be perfect!

I was about to reply based on the location. I think we would prefer the top three in your list. Cranleigh fees is way too high for us. St Edwards Witley is very near but not sure how it is doing in term of academic? especially for a bright boy but is naturally lazy. 😅Haven't heard about Churchers College before, is it a good school? looks great. Thanks

I'm not local but have friends with dc at the school, it's a back up for RGS if located on your side of Guildford. Worth checking the train times though.

It’s so competitive for boys in the area many boys get only one offer if they apply to three schools and some end up with none. You need to have one that is a dead cert such as king Edward witley, hoe bridge, Cranmore and downsend and then see if you get any more academic offers. All schools are more sporty than RGS, Reed’s has many non sporty boys but it’s tough to get a place, it’s quite a small school.
