Hi, my son recently scored good enough score to get a place in King Edward Grammar School. We are planning to move to Chelmsford and would like to know good areas with less than 20 mins commute time to KEGS. Please share your opinion.

Great Baddow is 20 min by bus or 9 min by car. See recently advertised property: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/130676777#/?channel=RES_BUY maybe of interest, Cheers

Loads of lovely villages, including Little Baddow, Little Waltham, Danbury, East Hanningfield. All in the 12 mile priority area.

Dear All - My son is seating for the 11+ exam this year, I'm thinking for KEGS, Chelmsford. Can you please advise me when should I move inside the catchment? And when I need to give the address proof and other docs to school?
Which area will be best for living in Chelmsford?
Appreciate your help.

Thank you.

The areas are given in the above responses, regarding timeline you should move in by roughly end of october that's when you submit your secondary school admission application.
