I'm looking at this as a possibility for my DC to do for the volunteering part of their DoE. Has anyone done this and if so can you provide a bit more info on it. Not sure this is the best thread but thought I'd get to the school parents here. Thanks

Haven’t heard of it - what is it?

Just been to look. Looks really interesting - but I suppose the issue is in getting an assessor.

Hello, I have been a zooniverse volunteer for several years- I’m not sure how it would work for DoE but happy to talk about how it works

I noticed there’s a space project that DS could well be interested in since he’s currently thinking he might study astrophysics at uni.

Is it the kind of thing you can do for an hour a week, and is there any kind of record generated of what you’ve done? I guess that would mean it could work for DoE.

It does work for DoE - I can recall how it was assessed but it was straightforward

Yes there is lots of space projects to choose from! From looking at my account it records how many classifications you’ve been involved and which projects. Most of what it involves is looking at photos and choosing from the options what you can identify.
