Aureus Secondary Shool Didcot, Oxfordshire - what is it like?

Hello everyone, could you tell me anything about Aureus School in Didcot?

Unfortunately, my daughter, who will start Y9 is not accepted to Didcot Girl's, hence Aureus School, as a second choice. (My husband filled in the form without discussing it with me, so I'm very annoyed with him.)

My daughter spent the last two years abroad in a non-English speaking school, so plenty to catch -up and planty to prepare for her GCSE.

Also, now that she is accepted by one school, is there any way to apply to another at all? Is now the private school route our only option if I am so unhappy with the situation? Or even that is too late?

Thank you for your thoughts and advise.

I forgot to ask, how Aureus compares to the Girls' School?

Badly. Sorry, but Aureus is a school plagued by low academic ambition, behavioural problems, and inadequate support for children with additional needs. If there's any way you can get your daughter into Didcot Girls (or even King Alfred's or The Downs), do it.

Could you get her to one of the Abingdon schools?
