In-year Wren Academy Finchley waiting list chances?

We might be moving into the area later this year, about 0.6mi from Wren Academy. Does anyone have experience of getting an in-year place, either primary or secondary, from that sort of distance?

We are currently in great state schools a few miles away and are planning to commute to them, but if a place at Wren came up, we would move our children (DS1 going to Y1 and DS2 going into Y4).

Wouldn’t it be more accurate to just phone them and ask?

I emailed/left message and haven't heard back. Also rang the council's admissions office and they said they didn't have that data available, so was hoping somewhere here might know.
