Hi there, I'm looking for examples of concerning content used in schools, particularly from external providers, for a debate in parliament this Thursday. If anyone doesn't feel confident sharing on here please email any of the MPs mentioned here whatson.parliament.uk/event/cal39233

It seems to me that they should have gathered their evidence before calling the debate. Perhaps it's a non-issue!

As far as I'm aware, only appropriate material is shared in my children's school. (Though some of their classmates have been known to ask innapripriately explicit questions to try and impress their mates or embarass the teacher).

I think if you're calling for evidence at this very late stage, there probably isn't a lot. Not saying schools always get it right, but when people go on about 'explicit' content they're usually the kind of people who don't want young people receiving thorough sex education...

As the schools don't routinely give parents access to the material they use how would we know?

Whenever I've questioned the content I'm given a general outline.
The school did give me the number of their content provider for one section. I had a great chat but they were using infographics and training*that does not comply with the current guidance.

What is being debated specifically?

As pps have said it’s quite late to be asking for evidence, are you sure you actually have a case?

WayDownInTheHole · 28/06/2022 21:43

If Rosie Duffield is involved then they'll be looking for anything that's been vaguely encouraging of supporting trans rights.

TheFallenMadonna · 28/06/2022 21:47

Who are they debating?

TheFallenMadonna · 28/06/2022 21:49

Ah ignore me. I've seen what it is now.

Cuck00soup · 28/06/2022 21:53

Didn't you ask for this yesterday?
