We are looking at 2023 entry for our daughter and are looking at the above schools.

We have heard anecdotally that Sacred Heart High School is not as pleasant as it is perceived . I wanted to hear from current parents their thoughts on the school.

I have heard from Lady Margarets students that the teaching is on the decline and felt that their "inclusivity" is tick box.

I have heard a lot of positive reviews about Gumley from the Diocese.

My daughter went to LMS and left year 13 last year. She had a good experience from y7-11 and did well. I wasn't impressed with her sixth form experience though ie the subject range is quite narrow and if you're not on an Oxbridge/medicine/dentistry path then you do get overlooked. Very poor lockdown provision too in spite of the capable intake.
Friends have had children at SH and from what they have said it doesn't seem to be great on pastoral care or communication. One has just moved her daughters from there.
Go and look at all options. Ask the same questions of staff at each and you'll get a good feel for the school and the atmosphere there.

Not sure if you are interested in private options too, but we just started Year 6 at St Catherine's Twickenham this year and have been really please. Incredibly supportive, lovely girls, and strong focus on faith values that is inclusive of all.

Thank you @Houseplantmad yes I’ve heard the communication and pastoral care is poor At SH. I got a good feel at SH but felt there was something there were not saying. Equally didn’t like LM but it historically has a good reputation.

@SewingCats i attende St Catherine’s when I was younger, I’ve heard so many positive experiences about the school- it’s become a serious contender for indies. I did enjoy my time there, although it wasn’t inclusive when I attended.

indie faith schools are lacking, which is a shame.
