Brighton College (with academic scholarship) vs MCS Oxford

We are new to UK and very happy to learn that my DS got offers from both schools. We don't have any chance to visit the schools in person and would like to ask for advice.

My DS is bright and creative, strong in science, humanities subjects and computer coding but weak in art, music and sports. Pastoral care for international students is also our main concern as we are new immigrants to uk. BC is more open minded but it seems MCS has a stronger network. Is there any parents from these two schools that could share their experience with us? Your help is much appreciated.

I have 2 very happy sons at MCS Oxford and I would say that your son would fit into the school very well. The pace is fast which is expected with such a high academic school but they are very well supported and we cannot fault the school in any way. My sons still have free time to take part in extra curricular activities out of school and down time. The pastoral care has also been great. There is also a great network for both boys and parents. Being in a school in central Oxford also means there is a huge pool of nationalities and the city is so charming and the location of the school is amazing. All parents I have spoken to only have positive things to say about the school. Any questions feel free to contact me.

Lovely to hear that, my son also has an offer from MCS ( Brighton College as well). Do you have any insight about the girls schools in Oxford?
