Marlborough College wait list

Does anyone have any information on the wait list procedure for Sep23 entry for boys into Marlborough College? We have been waitlisted since the Spring21 and are told there has been zero movement from the list and also zero information about where we are on the list despite repeated contact, do we give up?

I can’t answer your specific query but can tell you my daughter has an A list place for sept 22 and we got an email end October(ish) asking if we could reconfirm our acceptance as there was a long waiting list and they wanted to let people know likelihood of places - so I guess for 23 the list can still move significantly between now and then. Hope that helps a little

I have 3 DCs at Marlborough and just to second what @SLR2022 said I think the waiting list can shift very closely to the time. Both got A list places and right up to the months leading up to their start dates we had emails asking if we could reconfirm our acceptance as there was a long waiting list and they wanted to let people know likelihood of places. Hang in there

Hi,
I sent you a DM, OP.

People do drop out, but not many. There will be little movement till CE results. I would recommend trying to build a rapport with the admissions team if you can.

I wonder whether the impact of the Russian attack on Ukraine will lead to changes in admissions to British schools this year and next. I assume a number of Russian students will no longer come and that many other families will find that their ability to pay is reduced as a result of shifts in the financial system.
