Am thinking of applying for a job there, does anyone know what it is like.

It would have to fit like a glove for me to give up dd new school and the expense of living in London

We moved away from the area five years ago, but it did not have a good reputation then. May have changed since though.

I think it is changing but there is still a way to go. I ahve friends who still teach in London who may be able to give some inside information.

I would imagine that most RC children in the area would choose to go on to Wimbledon College or the Ursuline High which are very well established (originally independent, then grammar, voluntary aided comprehensives since 1970)

Twinset - it is in a funny bit of Putney near A3 slip road - more Southfields way. Among catholic parents in southwest London it has a less than salubrious challenging reputation - most of the successful RC primaries do not send children there - if they can get a place somewhere better they avoid JP2. I have heard (but this now may be old news, and I haven't read the links posted on this thread as my computer hates following links) that the school was going to be merged with Silesian in Battersea but not sure on what site, or if this plan is proceeding.

twinsetandpearls · 06/12/2007 02:09

yes there is a plan for it to merge which is still going ahead, it has not been made public how this will happen.

THanks for your honest advice.
