Oundle School vs Stowe School

Hi my son has got offers from both Oundle School and Stowe School for year 9. My son is a sporty child who is also good at art, but need someone to give a push in terms of academic. Does anyone has any recommendation about which school is better for him? Another thing I am considering is about which school is likely to kick out most of their own students before entering Sixth form...caus I would like my son to be more safe. Thank you very much!

We have been parents at Oundle for 10 years with three children, all bright motivated and high achievers. However, we are removing them all because of the attitude of management. Several scandals involving expulsions and some crashing ineptitude with poorly taught subjects where the school accepts no responsibility and blames your child have led us to conclude this school views your children as cash cows and they have zero interest their emotional safety or personal happiness.
Complaints to the head are totally brushed off. Would not recommend.

@tonicwaterparty
My comments about local Grammar and Stowe were purely a comparison of results. I do know the differences and the costs. There are many people who think Stowe is for lower achieving DC. When you actually compare results with an outstanding grammar school, they stack up pretty well. The grammar is only available to dc who live in catchment and is obviously different to Stowe because most Stowe parents don’t live in catchment or dc have not passed the 11 plus.
