Argggghhjj missed 13+ admissions independent school

I cannot believe we have done this! Lockdown, COVID, not being sure where we would be living means we have missed closing dates for year nine entry in 2022!

In my head the closing date was year seven January! I mean that is still 18 month’s beforehand.

Has anyone got any experience of dealing with such a duck up!

@PresentingPercy agree. This is the school's job. In our case we missed it because a) i sent DH off to the school meeting and b) i mixed up 13 September with 30 September. The deadline was 13 for this particular school. We even asked our prep to call them but they didn't budge.

I guess they just don’t have to!

Thomas's is starting a new secondary in Battersea, Sept 2021. They might allow late comers? Fees v expensive I would imagine - not set yet. Keep trying, where there's a will there's a way.
