DD received an offer for an occasional place in WHS. She's extremely happy, and but also starting to wobble now that the idea of changing school is sinking in. "what if I do not make good friends? what if the atmosphere is very competitive? etc."
She's currently in the French education system so it will be a big change for her.
My other half had attended an open day and was won over, but DD and I did not even have a chance to visit it with the Covid situation.
Any recent insight on the school , in particular on the atmosphere, would be much appreciated, if you have a DD there? Many thanks!

DD has a Microsoft surface go - the one with the bigger memory. She did have an HP laptop but switched to the surface go as it was much smaller and lighter. Has worked well.

Hi, my daughter at WHS who is about to go into year 8 has the touchscreen Lenovo Yoga 530 which has fulfilled all the requirements.

I was in the French system as a child, and then made the switch to the UK curriculum. I'd say the French system is at a higher level myself, it was a breeze going back to the UK system. The curriculum is different but I wouldn't worry, I honestly didn't notice the transition academically. Your DD is clearly a strong student to endure the French system, so I really wouldn't worry. Suspect if anything she'll find the pastoral side more nurturing which is a plus!
