Finding a Secondary School with specialist support for ASD / SLCN

I have a son in Year 6 who has not yet been offered a secondary school place. He has an EHCP for ASD and I would like him to go to a mainstream school with a support centre. I don't know many independent schools in my area that would provide specialist support and I was wondering if anyone could name any that I could look into? I live in Surrey but I'm on the borders of Sutton, Merton and Kingston too.

If you would consider a move then Egerton Rothersay school in Berkhamsted is excellent. Offers a mainstream curriculum but specialises in children with ASD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. So children who just need a bit of help to access the curriculum.

Independent schools normally run a mile when SEN is mentioned as the great majority don’t have the resources to properly support them. There are a few out there though but sorry I don’t know your area.
