Stowe School

I am thinking of sending my twins to Stowe School. Does anyone have up-to-date information or experiences with this school? TIA

Ask why Stowe offers BTEC courses.

is there an A level in that?

Except that that particular BTEC happens to be a fantastic course and actually pretty academic if you want a top grade. Way better in terms of teaching research, planning and analytical skills than most GCSEs. The examined components are more like what I was doing at A level.

it doesn’t exist as an A level but does as a L3 BTEC… and guess what, most universities accept BTECs these days.

Please do explain how it’s a lesser qualification than something like GCSE Art or Food Tech or Psychology?

My daughter is taking that as one of her options. Given she’s got a degree offer at 16, she’s not exactly dim.
