Are your kids prepping for GCSEs over and above set homework yet? If so what are they doing?
DS seems to rattle off mediocre homework in about a third of the time and I think he could start prepping notes etc for final exams. He disagrees.

A lot - 2hrs at least really, more on weekends. He’s very self motivated so no nagging ever been required. Super proud of his attitude - don’t think we will be as lucky in 4yrs time with our daughter!

Apart from French Which is now dropped, DD is very organised and self motivated. I have absolutely no idea how much or what she does. She has Seneca that I pay for premium on.
Mocks went well, school think she is on task to achieve well so I leave her to it.

About 2 hours but how much of that he is actually revising, I have no idea.

KaliforniaDreamz · 09/02/2020 16:41

Not very much at all, jsut homework at the mo. I am not applying pressure. Yet.

Oblomov20 · 09/02/2020 20:13

Minimal. Claims he's doing some.
Ds1 has mocks after the February 1/2 term.
Once I get his grades, I'll have some evidence to stand there and say.... this just isn't good enough.

Unfortunately both ds's are bright, but bare-minimum children. Not driven. So much potential, wasted. Drives me wild. With frustration.

We are all very supportive, no matter how bright/struggling/worst grades ever ... your child is! Wink
