Hi, asking this on behalf of my year 12 dd who would like to watch some good documentaries on the Russian Revolution to help her get to grips with it all so looking for any recommendations.

Any good ones for the Tudors would also be very welcome but she is struggling to get her head around Russia at the moment and thinks a good documentary will allow her to sequence it better in her head

Lucy Worsley has done lots of Tudor ones. She also did a series on Russia which was more general (longer time period). Lucy is very watchable.

They aren't that easy to find but they sometimes crop up on YouTube. I would recommend she watch the general Russia series if she can spare the time and interest, because it will help give her an understanding of the context of the revolution.

Not a documentary, but the Last Tsars series on Netflix is a mixture of reenactment and actual footage. It's very factually accurate (and I'm Russian).
