Interested to know how others found the pre-test this year. Lots of the bright kids at Son’s prep school found the VR very difficult. I thought it was supposed to be adaptive so should not have been too difficult. Is that for English and verbal reasoning as well?

I think Harrow is on a different timetable as they do the pre-test in Y6 with the other schools, followed by the Harrow Test in Y7, and then make offers this time of year to children in Y7 that were successful in the pretest in 2018 and the Harrow Test in 2019 . I've always wondered how it works for Harrow given they are picking from a similar pool of candidates to the schools that offer in Y6, but they only offer a year later.

Has anyone heard anything from Dulwich yet? They start 13+ interviews from 9th Dec so would be nice to hear sooner rather than later from them.

City of London boys callback emails were out this morning. Does anyone know the rough number of callbacks for the 40 spots at 13+? The admissions office weren’t forthcoming.

There a lot of boys who were invited back for the second stage (Maths, English) last year. Same went for the the interview stage. There were certainly more than 40 boys on the offers day. But bear in mind lots of those boys got multiple offers, and will go to one school only. Somehow it works out in the end. But the do over-offer. Good luck.

UCS, City of London and Westminster sent results, St Paul wrote yesterday saying results will be sent tomorrow.
Westminster exam and interview this year seems to be a different format to last year, anyone has any news on that? Test on 9th, interview 28th and test seems longer at 40min for maths and 40min for English. I feel so clueless....

We heard yesterday ds is through to the second round of exams for Westminster, but not St Pauls. (both 11+) I wonder what their cut off criteria is and how many exams/places there are...

Just told that DS is selected for interviews at SPS... but there is no mention of further academic tests... is anyone’s letter different?

Just got Eton note, DS is through to next round, which I wasn’t entirely sure would happen. Summer born so we have ages to wait for next assessment. Any advice let me know, we only applied at HM suggestion, it wasn’t originally on our list.

My son said the letter transfer in the VR was really odd. It didn’t ask you to make two new words, rather to transfer one letter from one word to another couple of letter to make a word there. Did anyone say anything similar about the letter transfer question? My son usually scores highly in VR, but said it was odd and nothing like BOFA or atom and much harder. Any feedback from your sons on the letter transfer questions?
