Hello everyone, my sister is moving to London wid her 2 daughters. Her eldest is due to start secondary in Sept 2020 - just wanted to get an idea how close does she need to be to Ursuline High to have a good chance? also she has missed the deadline for admissions so what are her best options - any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Have a look on the website for the Admissions policy. Waiting list places, which will include late applications, are allocated under the same criteria.

Ursuline has no distance criteria. Places are offered in accordance with the number of times you have attended mass over the last 3 years, certified by the priest.

Her best option, unless she has catholic credentials as described, is to find a school that she likes the look of and that admits on distance and to move in to it’s very doorstep ASAP.

And to apply to the schools closest to where she lives and then after March 1st go on as many waiting lists as possible if she is not happy with the allocated school.

Since it’s going to be a late application, you might like to ring the local authority to see what the procedure for late applicants is.

Your DN is very unlikely to get into Ursuline unless the family are committed Catholics, OP. What about Ricards Lodge?

WAITING LIST Ursuline high school

My daughter is on the waiting list of Ursuline High School. She is very up on the waiting list (5)
does anyone know what is the likelihood she will be getting an offer before September ? For your experience is it usual to have some movement before September ?
TIA

The priest is having queues in front of him after every single mass to check the presence? That may take a lot of his time
