Entrance exam clash Latimer Upper / St.Pauls/KGS

7th Jan 2020 for all three schools. Sigh.
On Latimers website they say they don’t have a reserve day...but will be flexible with various times in the day.
Unsure on the other two schools policy of a reserve day or how flexible they are with the exam time.
Anybody had these type of clashes before at these schools?...or have news on this coming “problem”?

KGS will have another sitting on same day as 10plus exam.

There’s a clash with LEH too so I have been advised by LEH that dd could sit LEH in the morning and LU in the afternoon (fun day!). So I imagine SPBS and LU will have a similar arrangement as there will be many sitting both. Very unfair and exhausting on the kids though, I wish they could spread them out more.

However, the exam timetabling does focus the mind and I have already discounted a few schools because of close or clashing exams as I realised which schools really mattered to me. So that’s the flip side!

Yes, we had the same issue earlier this year too, LEH exam in the morning, took 45 mins to collect her as they called names in Alphabetical order or some order and we were the last. There was some traffic between LEH and LU so we just arrived on time for the LU afternoon test and my daughter had to have lunch in the car, no break(and she usually has car sick when there is traffic so it wasnt a fun day). Then G&L test was on the same day as KGS scholarship test and she was 30mins late for her KGS scholarship test even both the schools administration teams were very understanding and supportive. The only good thing was I didnt have to take too many days off for pick and drop.

Question for the ones that know, was this the same last year re many exam dates clashing, or are the schools starting to do this more this year so people are forced to think ahead and go for the schools they are only really interested in?

I did 5 schools last year and 3 the year before (have a DD and DS 17 months apart) and no clashes. This seems weird they did this.

Kgs is usually earlier eg first week Jan - Thurs or Fri - but the dates are falling bad this year eg the Friday would mean 3 Jan. in last has been 4 or 5 jan - they squeeze it into that first week. I know from bitter experience as had to cut New Years break short two years in a row.

Try ringing the schools and asking!
