White blouses - where do you buy them from?

Where do you all buy white blouses from? We always bought them from M&S. they are £13 for a set of 2. I saw cheaper ones with ASDA and Debenhams. Tempted, but is the quality good? How about uniform shops?

M&S. £13 for 2 is probably sweat shop labour at minimal wage rates! And you want even cheaper? Get a conscience!

Sweat shop workers are on a minimum wage anyway. M&S makes a bigger profit because of their brand positioning. I want it cheaper from a company that takes a smaller profit. Get it?

Dd needed 100% cotton (eczema) which I only ever found in M&S, great quality, used to last her two years plus.

I got some from Sainsburys, £9 for a 3 pack, good quality, previous ones lasted for 2 years, same with the Asda ones.

Matalan short sleeved 5 pack or tesco 2 pack

Asda sleeves are too narrow for my kids and dd especially doesn't even have fat arms

P.s. I have never bought them from M&S

M&S is actually one of the most ethical retailers in the UK in terms of avoiding modern day slavery. If you then factor in better quality, their margin is not necessarily going to be better than an ultra cheap retailer.

On the other hand, Asda is one of the least ethical retailers in the UK. Make of that what you will.

Everyone here is 'hiding' behind a username. When you post on an open forum, you are inviting different opinions, and you may not always like them.

£13 for two shirts is a fair price but it certainly doesn’t mean the people who made them have a decent living wage. It’s too cheap for that.

If you cannot afford new, buy secondhand then the profits have been taken and you will he giving to charity. I certainly “get” that!

Lastly, your arguments about company profits is ludicrous. For what it’s worth if we do not have companies making profits, we don’t have profitable companies employing people and paying taxes and that pays for the NHS and benefits. If you don’t want to support companies and their need to make profits in order to exist, then buy secondhand.

Bought my DD M&S blouses in y7. She wore them until y11. Now younger DD wearing them!

I get from our school uniform shop. I used to buy from Next as they used to be good, but they started to be a bit see through and there wasn't much price difference anyway.

I think the uniform shop brand is Banner

I looked up the price and it's similar to Mark's but depends on size

personally I prefer M&S as they do slim fit ones but I haven't found the quality to be any different to tesco or asda or sainsburys

Tesco and Asda are both fine. Tesco’s seem a little more roomy, for the more busty girl.
