Vince Cable on Twickenham School

Can someone explain to me why Vince Cable is describing one of his local schools as "outstanding" and "one of the best" when Ofsted says it Requires Improvement? Over-egging by the school and a lack of fact checking on his part perhaps? I mean, well done to it for getting out of special measures and all that, but it looks like it still has a little way to go before it gets to Good, never mind Outstanding.

It is a remarkable transformation from the state it has been over decades. And it's on the up - ask the local parents.

Well if it really has been transformed from one of the worst schools in England to "one of the best" Mumsnetters should be flocking in and grabbing places while it's still under-subscribed and local house prices are still relatively affordable.
