Haileybury school

Could anyone please advise if you would recommend Haileybury school? Or any high school around the Hertfordshire area?

I know two separate families whose kids attend(ed) Haileybury. One family pleased, the other very displeased. They felt their son was made a scapegoat and weren't impressed with the pastoral care for boarders.

We play Haileybury at sports fairly regularly. They're decent at sport (though not extraordinary) and middle of the road academically. Nice big grounds and seems a convivial atmosphere. If academic achievement is your top priority, there's probably better options elsewhere.

Are you still happy with the school? We are hoping to send our son there.

@boysmuminherts We've got mixed feelings about the school. Some parts have been fabulous - notably the teachers, sport and friends. It's probably not a great idea for me to go into what's been disappointing as I'm pretty sure these chats are monitored by the school and my kids are still there!
