DD is doing her GCSEs in 2019 and is predicted grades 6-8 in eight subjects. She already has a 7 in English Literature. She can leave next summer and go to a conventional sixth form for A levels (likely to be Media, English Lit and History) or do the IBCP at her current school. She wants to go on to university and though not quite fixed on a career yet, it is likely to be media / production focussed.
Does anyone have experience of the IBCP? Would be grateful for any advice / help.

Look up a selection of the likely uni courses she's interested in and see what their entry requirements are for IBCP. The main IB is pretty rare on MN and the IBCP even rarer! I'm an IB mum. DC1's 6th offers both IB & IBCP and the IBCP certainly looks fascinating.

It looks great doesn't it, but the issue is about whether it restricts her options. Will have a look at the likely university courses.

Putting the link here for anyone wondering what we're on about!
So, would your DD likely do the BTEC in media plus IB English & History? I'm no expert but it strikes me as a great combination of the practical skills of the BTEC with the academic rigour of the IB courses. Plus she has the added dimension of the Core of ToK, CAS & the EE. (Get used to IB acronyms!). ToK would be fun alongside media.

Thanks for the Pearson link BringOnTheScience , that is really helpful. We have more questions to ask the school now, I think.
Yes she would do English and History.
