St Richard Reynolds vs. Cardinal Vaughan vs. London Oratory

Dear All,

I was impressed with St Richard Reynolds Catholic College (Twickenham) during the Open Evening, which is 15 mins cycle ride from home, but cannot deny the appeal of both Cardinal Vaughan and London Oratory due to the proven academic achievement of their students (no A-level results for St Richard Reynolds yet).

However, Cardinal Vaughan and London Oratory are both 1 hour away , with combo of 2 buses and 1 tube to get there and back.

Any other parents potentially in Richmond Borough also considering pros and cons of these two options? Is the extra commute worth the hassle? What would you choose?

Let me know your thoughts, would truly appreciate it. Many thanks!

Hi we live in Twickenham and my son got offered The London Oratory School. Our first choice was St Richard Reynolds as my 4 year old is there but no sibling policy between primary and secondary and as new primary he was currently in a local Church of England as no year 6 yet. He didn’t get in, he got London Oratory instead
We know the L. Oratory is a very good school but worried about travelling as he is 11 y.o. And we live very near St Richard Reynolds (4 roads away).
Do you know of any school buses or any easy ways/school buses to get there?
Many Thanks
