So nervous for first secondary report

I know I am probably being a bit pathetic, but my DD gets her first secondary school report next week (they get another in the summer) and I'm so nervous Sad She's a bright thing, did so well in her entrance exams for a school that we liked but thought she'd never be able to attend (independent) that she was offered a full bursary.

Her reports have always been good academically, but always state she's a little chatterbox and needs to learn when it's an appropriate time. We are completely new to the private school area, and as I grew up in care, it's a world away from my comfort zone. DD loves it, and from what I can gather, is doing well - moved up sets etc. So why am I so nervous Confused

I know this sounds like a stealth boast, it really isn't!

I know how you feel. Went to rough comprehensive myself, daughter went to state school but got bursary to v good school.
I kept feeling like we were imposters/that we’d be found out/that she wouldn’t be able to keep up (like you, no reason at all to feel this)
I felt sick at first parents eve (never had in primary school, in fact usually couldn’t wait !) but all was good (some glowing)
Sounds to me you have absolutely nothing to worry about - if she was struggling/not getting on well you’d know
Bask in her glory !

Don’t worry! And in any case, it’s early days...

Thank you Flowers Notaworrier you summed it up so well! I'm trying to be involved in attending various events etc so that I don't give in to the imposter syndrome, but it's so hard Sad

Notcontent hopefully I won't still feel like this at Xmas!
